Aaahhh! Spring break has begun and we started our adventure at Disney’s Grand Floridian Villas, which is the villa section of the flagship resort at Disney. The villas have more of a modern flair than the main part of the resort. Spacious villas offer different sizes of accommodations for single families and multi-generational families who want to be in shared space with guaranteed connecting rooms. The two bedroom villa was the perfect fit for my family of four plus my parents.
The master bedroom has a king bed along with a stunning bathroom that opens up into the hallway. Our favorite feature was the TV in the mirrors.
The second bedroom had two queen beds along with a split bathroom, which worked out great when we needed to get showered and dressed at the same time. The contemporary bathroom designs were a very nice touch.
In main living room, there was a pull out sofa bed, which could sleep two people and a murphy bed that folds out under the TV, which was plenty of room for my 11 year old son.
My favorite feature of the villas is the washer/dryer. Any mother out there knows how exciting this is!!
The Grand Floridian Villas have full use of the main resort along with any of the recreational activities and events.
The resort has several great restaurant options such as Narcoossee’s, 1900 Park Fare, Citricos, Grand Floridian Café, Gasparilla Island Grill and Victoria and Alberts. There is a beautiful spa on property and even an afternoon tea (reservations required). Little princesses can also enjoy the Perfectly Princess Tea.
This resort is the last stop on the monorail to the Magic Kingdom, so it’s the perfect location for a family who plans to visit the Magic Kingdom often. Boat service is available, as well. To get to Epcot, guests will take the monorail. For all other Disney locations, complimentary bus transportation is offered.
