Our Vacation to Mexico at El Dorado Casitas
I just spent a long weekend at the beautiful El Dorado Casitas Royale in Riviera Maya, Mexico. This adults-only resort is located about 25 minutes from the Cancun International Airport (CUN) on a beautiful stretch of beach. One of my favorite features of this stunning resort are the unique casita suites. Each casita is very large (over 650 square feet & up) and has an outdoor shower. I also love that it’s not just all-inclusive, but it’s gourmet inclusive. The food & drinks at any of the Karisma Resorts (El Dorado, Azul or Generations) is some of the best I’ve ever had.
Many casitas feature an infinity pool, swim up pool or both. The casitas all have access to a swim up pool bar along with beach and pool butler service. There are plenty of Bali beds on the beach for Casita guests, that are included in the all-inclusive package along with a beach butler who will bring drinks, towels, etc. to you.
Each block of casitas has a personal concierge team located in the “neighborhood.” They will make dinner reservations, spa appointments, or anything else you need. They even arranged a very early morning room service delivery on a day of departure, even though room service wasn’t technically serving breakfast at that time. It was great having them right outside our casita, so it was very easy to stop by with questions.
The resort is located right between El Dorado Royale and Generations Riviera Maya. Casita guests may use the dining and entertainment venues at any of these properties. The personal concierge team will make dinner reservations for you at any of the restaurants, which is a big timesaver. You can either walk or take the complimentary shuttle to any one of these properties. Shuttle stops are located throughout the property.
